GPT-5.4, ChatGPT Skills, Claude growth, and GritAI on the road

Last week, OpenAI shipped GPT-5.4, the first model to beat humans at real desktop computer tasks. It scored 75 percent on OSWorld-V versus 72.4 percent for human workers. It comes with a one million token context window and a reasoning mode that beats professionals 83 percent of the time on GDPval. They also rolled out Skills for ChatGPT, letting teams turn workflows into reusable instructions. Finally.

At the same time, more people are now signing up for Claude than ChatGPT. The Pentagon stance put Anthropic on the map for millions of new users, Claude Code keeps going viral, and with the latest updates to Claude Cowork bringing agentic automations to the desktop, more and more people are getting agentic powers without writing a single line of code. The product lineup is shipping faster than anyone else. Standing for something turned out to be a growth strategy.

On our end, a couple of weeks ago we hosted our third Claude Code Meetup at Mesh Oslo with Boris Cherny, the creator of Claude Code, as our secret guest. 350 people in the room, more than 100 on the waiting list, live streaming between rooms. It was magical. And more than 400 people have signed up for the next one.

• Microsoft launches Copilot Cowork, built with Anthropic. Multi-step AI workflows across all of Microsoft 365. A new $99 per user E7 tier starting 1 May.
• GPT-5.4 launched with computer use scoring 75 percent on OSWorld-V versus 72.4 percent for humans. A one million token context and a new x-high reasoning mode. GPT-5.3 Instant shipped as the new default ChatGPT model.
• Anthropic launches the Claude Marketplace. Enterprises use their Anthropic spend to buy third-party software built on Claude. Launch partners: Snowflake, GitLab, Harvey, Replit and Lovable. No commission.
• Claude Code Remote Control is live. Start a session on your machine, pick it up from your phone or any browser via claude.ai/code.
• Claude Code gets scheduled tasks. The new /loop command runs recurring prompts at fixed intervals. Set a cron schedule, poll deployments or fire one-shot reminders.
• Skill Creator gets evals and benchmarks. Test, A/B compare and benchmark agent skills with parallel evals. Automated description optimisation reduces false triggers.
• Google Gemini 3.1 Pro tops the benchmark charts again. Flash-Lite launched at $0.25 per million input tokens.
• Google ships the Workspace CLI with more than 100 agent skills and a built-in MCP server. Any AI agent can now access Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar and Sheets. Install via npm, point your agent at it, done.
• Cursor hits $2 billion ARR, valued at $29.3 billion. It launched Automations: always-on background agents triggered by code changes, Slack messages or PagerDuty alerts. Bugbot reviews every commit automatically.
• ChatGPT is rolling out Skills. Reusable task bundles that let teams codify workflows and share them across a workspace. They run automatically when relevant, with admin controls for Enterprise and Edu.
• Notion Custom Agents are live. Autonomous bots that triage, answer questions and draft reports. More than 21,000 agents were built in the first weeks. Notion also launched Workers, a TypeScript framework for connecting agents to any external API.
• OpenAI partners with BCG, McKinsey, Accenture and Capgemini to distribute its enterprise platform Frontier for building AI agents and AI coworkers.
