Claude in Google Docs, dashboards and GPT-6
A shared agent folder for your team, Projects in Claude Code, and a spreadsheet that becomes a dashboard.
Hey 👋
Welcome back! Last week AI moved further into the tools you already work in. Claude now works inside Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, and Anthropic launched Claude Dashboards and its new small model Haiku 5.5. OpenAI gave everyone GPT-6, and Google showed a Gemini agent that works across your office tools.
Jump to the AI News section further down if you want to read more about it. Our focus in this issue is on working with agents in folders as a team, and on what Claude can do with the spreadsheets you already have.
In this issue
- How to set up a shared agent folder for your team
- How Projects in Claude Code hands out the work to agents that run in parallel
- How to turn a spreadsheet into an interactive dashboard
- Coming up, with the Claude Impact Lab and our bootcamp for everyone
- AI News, with Haiku 5.5, GPT-6 for everyone and a new AI strategy for Norway
A shared agent folder for your team
If your AI tool can work in a folder on your computer, such as Claude Code, Cowork, Codex or ChatGPT Work, we encourage you to try it out. It will give you superpowers over time!
The agent can then read your own files, keep your instructions and examples between sessions, and save its work next to your data. A chat in the browser mostly sees what you paste into it.
In many teams everyone uses AI agents on their own. Each person types the same background into a new chat, and the corrections they give stay in their own history.
A shared folder gives the whole team the same starting point. It holds the jobs you repeat, a skill for each one and a file with what the team has learned, so every correction makes the folder better for everyone. A new hire starts with all of it.
Start with one team and the three jobs that come back every week. Open an empty folder in Claude Code or Cowork and type this.
Interview me about the jobs our team does every week, month and quarter, one question at a time. Then help me build an agent in a folder for our team.
In the last issue we wrote about saving your feedback in the folder. We published How to set up a shared agent folder for your team, which takes that to a whole team. It builds a folder for a sales team step by step, from the first interview to skills, small tools and a weekly review.
Projects in Claude Code
Until recently we ran our agent tasks in separate folders and sessions. We started each one, told it what to do and kept an eye on all of them. Projects in Claude Code has started doing that coordination for us.
You write what needs doing in one conversation, and Claude starts a thread for each task. The threads work in parallel, most of them in the cloud, so they keep going after you close your laptop. The Overview shows what is finished and what is waiting on you.
Write the project instructions once, give it one small real task, and ask Claude to plan before it starts.
Propose the threads before you start them, and run at most two at a time until I say otherwise.
Projects is a public beta on Pro and Max, not yet on Team or Enterprise, and it uses your plan faster than a single session. What is Projects in Claude Code? walks through the instructions, the Overview and what it costs, with a finance team as the example.

Four small dashboards in one browser window, with example data for Company A. Investment, a net present value of NOK 532k and payback in 3.2 years, with the saving in year 1 as a slider. Check, 4 of 4 checks passed on the data before it reaches the page, rows read, no duplicate rows, the total of NOK 42,900 matches the source report and the dates are readable, checked 28 Sep 2026. Sensitivity, the saving in year 1 moves the net present value most, with the swing as a slider. KPI, revenue over 12 months per region, where West drops 35 per cent in August 2026 and the check flags it. Every number is calculated in the page.
Try the live version and move the sliders yourself.
Most analysis still ends as a table in a spreadsheet or a chart pasted into a slide. The first question in the meeting is often what happens if the saving is lower, and someone has to go back to the spreadsheet to answer it. A page with the assumptions as sliders answers it in the room.
Take one spreadsheet you update every month and ask Claude Code to turn it into an HTML page. Move a slider or a filter and the charts follow, and the whole page is one file that opens in any browser.
The part that matters most is where the numbers come from. Let Python calculate every number and let the page draw it, so no number comes from a sentence the model wrote.
Turn this spreadsheet into an interactive HTML dashboard. Use Python for every number, check the totals against the source first, and add sliders for the assumptions we discuss in meetings.
Data analysis and dashboards with Claude Code walks through the whole route, from the first check of the data to a page you can share.
You can now take this further with Anthropic's newest release. Claude Dashboards, in beta since last week, connects to live company data in BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks or Salesforce. You ask a plain question, and the dashboard stays up to date as the data changes.
Coming up
Claude Impact Lab at Mesh, Wednesday 21 October, 09:00 to 14:00. It follows up Claude Conversation and is part of Oslo Innovation Week. Mixed teams build prototypes on the problems people raised, and no coding is needed. Places are limited, and the hosts approve each sign-up.
Oslo Innovation Week AI Day at Mesh, Wednesday 21 October, from 09:00. Every stage at Mesh Youngstorget has AI sessions all day, and Aleksander guides the day. It is full, but there is a waitlist.
Claude Code Bootcamp for everyone, Tuesday 27 October at Mesh. A full day with your own documents and research. No coding experience required.
NDC Porto, 17 to 20 November. Aleksander speaks at the Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia Hotel.
We also run company bootcamps built around your team's tools, workflows and priorities. Reach out to learn more.
AI News
Here are the other updates from last week worth a look.
Claude works in Google Docs, Sheets and Slides. Claude opens in a sidebar next to your Google file, reads what is open and makes edits that you approve by default. It is in beta on all paid Claude plans, and on Team and Enterprise an owner has to turn it on first.
Claude Haiku 5.5. Anthropic's new small model, which it calls its fastest and cheapest yet. It is built for quick, repeated jobs like summaries, sorting and customer support, and Anthropic says it costs about 75 per cent less to run than Haiku 4.5.
GPT-6 for everyone. ChatGPT can now answer with charts, buttons, forms and small calculators you use right in the answer. Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise got it from 7 October, and Free and Go from the day after.
Gemini at Work 2026. Google showed one Gemini agent for work that answers questions, writes documents and runs long tasks in the background, in Gmail, Docs and Sheets, and you can also reach it from Microsoft 365 and Slack. It can also use Claude models. Google has not given a date or a price.
Copilot Search gets chat, and PowerPoint gets Copilot skills. You can now ask follow-up questions in Copilot Search, and create your own skills for repeat work in PowerPoint on Windows and the web.
Claude Motion, and Docs, Slides and Design for everyone. Motion turns a prompt into a short animated explainer you can edit and download, on Team and Enterprise. Claude's own Docs, Slides and Design are now on every Claude plan, including Free, and on Enterprise they turn on by default on 15 October.
Anthropic updates its usage policy. From 12 November, using Claude for decisions about health, legal matters, money or jobs requires a qualified person who can review and override the result. The people affected must also be told that AI was used.
Norway starts work on a new national AI strategy. The Ministry of Digitalisation wants input from business, and the strategy is due in the first half of 2027. The state budget for 2027 proposes about NOK 121 million more for AI.
If you try one of the tips, reply and tell us how it went. We read every answer.
Best, Aleksander and Simon
